ECD situational analysis and needs assessment; Briefing report to Ka Tutandike Trustees, 26th September 2005The Trustees of Ka Tutandike Trust UK sent Jason Pennells to Uganda in 2005, to research the situation of Early Childhood Development (ECD) in Uganda. Jason was asked to look into the training available in Uganda for carers/practitioners wishing to work with children aged zero to three. Jason interviewed many of the providers of ECD training in Uganda, both those affiliated to the government and also independent and charitable organisations. You will be able to read of the many training organisations providing ECD training for those working with 3-6 year olds. Even though day care for under threes is plentiful in Uganda, Jason found only one or two trainers who focus on this age group. Read the full report to get a greater understanding of such issues.
