Katutandike - Let's Get Started - Transforming Lives in Uganda

MARKET MOTHERS ACQUIRE SKILLS IN LIQUID SOAP MAKING FOR NEW SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

Ka Tutandike Uganda trained a group of 19 mothers from Kamwokya, Kalerwe, Gaba and Ndejje markets on production skills for liquid soap, on 14th November 2013. The objective of the training was to empower the mothers with alternative income generating skills, to enable them take care of their children and households better. The training was facilitated by Ms. Ruth Mugyenyi and every member got an opportunity for a hands experience in liquid soap making.

On completion of the training, the mothers took home a sample of the soap they had produced. The sample was also intended to inspire other women in the markets to engage in different alternative income generating activities, to boost their income levels.
