The Chair and Trustee of Ka Tutandike Trust UK (KKTUK) Heidi Kruitwagen visited Ka Tutandike Uganda office to provide input and support towards the finalization of KTU’s new strategic plan and programming. Despite the short visit they managed to see the Women’ projects in Nakawa Market and Kamwokya Market where they witnessed the amazing results of the training the Women’s groups had earlier undertaken in Organic Farming. The Women proudly shared the fact that they are now earning an extra buck from selling fresh organically grown vegetables. Heidi and Anisha were able to see the results of empowerment that the women have gained when the women of Nakawa market showed them their gardens in Naguru and are now in the process of lobbying for more farm space with other potential partners to enable them grow even more vegetables.
