KA TUTANDIKE FINALIZES ITS NEW STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS

In April 2013 Ka Tutandike Uganda formulated its new Strategic Plan 2013 - 2015

After 7 years since inception and two Country strategies down the road, KTU embarked on an exercise to design the new direction to take it through the next three years to 2015. During this process, KTU conducted a number of evaluations, consultations and documentary reviews and the findings from this process have consolidated and informed KTU’s new three year strategic plan. The new strategic direction for 2013 / 2015 will focus on two approaches, the community approach, and the Social Enterprise approach.  The community approach will continue to focus on Early Childhood Development in Market places so as to ensure a safe and conducive environment for the development of children 0-5 years. It will also empower Mothers with skills for improved parenting, nutrition, as well as child protection. The second strand, the Social Enterprise approach will promote the economic empowerment of vulnerable women and youth in the communities, while at the same time support the local resource mobilization efforts of KTU through income generation enterprises.

To achieve the above, KTU will work through the KTU Beneficiary/Community Associations who are going to be at the centre of KTU' operations. The members of these Associations (The Mothers and the youths) are directly affected by vulnerability, therefore putting them in a special position to act on behalf of their children and their well being.  Please click here to see the Executive summary of the new Strategic Plan.
