KA TUTANDIKE UGANDA PARTICIPATES AT KEY EVENT IN LONDON

"Social Entrepreneurship – a bold new approach to tackling poverty?"

14 April 2014: 6.00PM – 8.30PM

VENUE: NedBank, Old Mutual Place, London, EC4V 4GG

Social Entrepreneurship is emerging as a new approach to end poverty that challenges the traditional charity model of donor-giving and places ownership on poor communities to have a real voice and become self-reliant. Ka Tutandike Uganda has recently evolved from a traditional charity model to becoming a social enterprise whilst continuing the work on Early Childhood Development work on the ground. This paradigm shift is leading to economic empowerment, reduction of donor dependency and a placing the onus on communities themselves to take charge of their futures.

The eminent panelists include: Stephen Brenninkmeijer (Willows Investment), Richard Dowden (Royal African Society), Susan Kisitu – CEO, (Ka Tutandike Uganda), Vinay Nagaraju (Riders for Health), Conall O’Caomiah (Value Added in Africa) and Hans H. Wahl (INSEAD’s Social Entrepreneurship Programme)

The event is free to attend. For more information or to register:
